Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and innovative School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting the academic achievement, mental health, and overall well-being of our diverse student population.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is mitted to providing high-quality services and advocating for the needs of all learners.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and munity partners to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with diverse needs.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other psychological factors impacting learning and behavior.
- Serve as a resource to school staff on topics related to behavior management, social-emotional learning, and mental health promotion.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.
Qualifications :
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational laws and regulations.
- Excellent munication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
