POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Data Science and Analytics Engineer is responsible for leading our team in delivering actionable insights and innovative data science and analytics solutions.
Must be a strategic thinker with a robust background in data science, analytics, and team management. They will be responsible for overseeing data science projects, guiding data-driven decision making, and contributing to our company's growth and success.
Key Accountabilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Drive the team to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and develop data strategies aligned with business goals.
- Transform data into actionable insights through advanced analytical techniques.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data science projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Develop and implement data science and analytics strategies to support business objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in data practices.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all data sources and projects.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
- Promote the use of reliable data for decision-making.
- Work closely with other departments to support their data needs and objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote a collaborative approach to data initiatives across the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge / Skill / Ability
- Strong background in system, data, and cloud data management
- Knowledge of data science and analytics techniques
- Accomplishes human resource objectives by motivating, recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees;
- communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions;
enforcing policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and MLOps processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Minimum Required Education
Education Level
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field Required (Master's or PhD preferred.)
- Certification in data science or related fields. required
Minimum Required Work Experience
Experience
- More than 5 years is required.
- Strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning is required.
- Proven experience in managing and leading data teams is preferred.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies is required.
