New Flyer, a leading heavy-duty transit bus manufacturer in North America, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in the production of advanced transit buses under the Xcelsior and Xcelsior CHARGE brands. New Flyer is committed to providing safe, sustainable, and reliable charging and mobility solutions through their subsidiary, NFI Infrastructure Solutions. With a focus on electrification and zero-emission vehicles, New Flyer is at the forefront of the mass mobility transformation.
As an Assembly Technician at New Flyer, you will be responsible for assembling and installing various components of transit buses, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the overall success of the production process. Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and installation of components according to specifications and work orders
- Inspect parts and components for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and challenges
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and efficiency
