Summary
- The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis including : coordination and assignment of patient care;
- functions as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges and transfers. The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor coordinates unit staffing for next shift with the Director / Clinical Manager, Coordinator and / or House Officer;
serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff; provides supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews.
The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

Qualifications
Education
Required : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred : Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Experience
Required : 1 year RN experience.
Certifications
Required : RN must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
