The Birches at Trillium Woods is recruiting for a hospitality focused Medical Records / Health Unit Coordinator to join our team!
The Medical Records / Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for ordering supplies, assembling and closing resident charts, entering resident information and orders into the computer, corresponding with doctors and nurses, and assisting with EMR IT needs.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Medical Records / Health Unit Coordinator
- Maintains and complete and accurate current and discharged residents' medical records
- Completes ICD-10 coding for all admissions and collects necessary medical documentation to support utilized diagnosis.
- Sends correspondence to Providers relating to requested medical record information.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have :
- Health Unit Coordinator Certification
- ICD -10 Coding certification required (willing to assist in obtaining certification)
- Requires good judgement to plan, perform, and set-up sequences within standard procedures.
