SUMMARY :
Halliwell is looking for an EIT who is passionate and has some experience that would be responsible for assisting and supporting forensic engineering projects from conception through completion under the supervision of licensed professional engineers.
This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, preparing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
The desired candidate will have an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to professional development.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist in planning, organizing and supporting engineering projects.
Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
Prepare project schedules, track progress, and report on project status.
- Conduct technical analyses and evaluations of project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in developing engineering solutions to technical problems.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and filed appropriately.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project adherence to design and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the resolution of project issues.
- Stay current with advancements in engineering practices, technologies, and industry standards.
- Pursue opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Work towards obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Occasional travel to project sites, client locations, and meetings are required.
- Ability to conduct site visits and inspections, which may involve walking, climbing, handling and setting up ladders, and standing for extended periods of time.
Key Requirements include :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required.
- Minimum of 0-4 years of engineering experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., Drafting Software, MS Office programs, and project management software).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Texas Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or obtainable).
- Commitment to obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license.
