Project Manager
Midwestern Electric is seeking a Project Manager to become a member of our Estimating / Project Management department at our Indianapolis location.
We currently specialize in highway lighting, ITS system installation and maintenance, temporary and permanent traffic signals and high voltage electrical work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Procure work and develop clientele.
- Manage project development from initiation to closure.
- Be accountable for project results.
- Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with change order forms.
- Lead, coach and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.
- Work with other disciplines within the company to share information and collaborate on combined estimates to ensure all work is captured and properly estimated.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
- Solid knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principals and techniques, as well as accounting principles.*
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.* *
- Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.* *
- Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.* *
- Familiarity with pertinent national, state, local and industry standards.* *
- Must possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail.* *
- Experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation systems and programs.*
