Role : Collibra Data Governance / Data Quality – Consultant

Location : Onsite – 5 days / week in McLean, VA

Work Type : 1099 / C2C / W2

Work Authorization : U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, H1B, H4 EAD

Role Overview :

We are seeking a hands-on Collibra Data Governance and Data Quality Consultant to help mature our enterprise data governance and quality framework. This consultant will play a pivotal role in configuring, integrating, and operationalizing Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) and Collibra Data Quality (CDQ), ensuring end-to-end traceability, stewardship, and adoption across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also comfortable collaborating directly with business stakeholders, data stewards, and governance leaders to design scalable solutions that improve trust in data.

Key Responsibilities :

Collibra Configuration & Workflows : Configure and deploy Collibra DGC workflows supporting rule creation, approval, escalation, and monitoring.

Data Quality Governance : Establish traceability between DQ rules, data domains, controls, and governance models.

Platform Integration : Enable seamless integration between Collibra DGC and CDQ, ensuring metadata flow, score synchronization, and issue routing function as intended.

Operational Enablement : Support business teams with onboarding rules, assigning ownership, and implementing issue tracking within Collibra.

Reporting & Dashboards : Design and build intuitive data quality dashboards and reports in Collibra to drive visibility and accountability.

Governance Alignment : Work with governance leads to align DQ rules with enterprise control frameworks (e.g., BWise).

Best Practices & Training : Collaborate with platform admins, define best practices, deliver training sessions, and provide documentation to drive adoption.

Required Skills & Experience :

• 5+ years in data governance, metadata, or data quality domains.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Quality (CDQ), including : Profiling setup and interpretation, Rule results integration, Score and issue reporting
• Experience designing and customizing Collibra workflows (BPMN 2.0).
• Strong knowledge of data quality dimensions, rule structures, and governance models.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, SQL, and enterprise data platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
