Are you a tax professional with a knack for numbers and experience working with clients in the Real Estate industry? This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic and fast-paced team, where you will play a crucial role in managing tax operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax strategies.

This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to grow professionally while working in a highly collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.

What you'll be doing...

  • Oversee overall client experiences including deadline management / client expectations
  • Calculate tax effects of transactions, conduct technical tax research, and manage tax partner expectations
  • Handle billing / WIP management
  • Operate in a dynamic environment, coach staff / seniors / managers, and share your knowledge and experience with the entire team

What you'll need...

  • Bachelor's Degree required in related field
  • CPA or JD required at the manager level
  • 5+ years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm
  • A practical understanding of tax credits and incentives including 1031 exchanges, 704(b) allocations, 704 (c) allocations, and target capital account allocations
  • Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, operating agreement interpretation, waterfall calculations, targeted capital account calculations, debt allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition / disposition planning and structuring, and experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research.
  • Strong understanding of CCH Axcess required
  • Experience assisting clients with life events for partnerships, inside and outside basis computations, section 704(c) and section 743(b) computations, and Schedule K-1 processing
  • Experience advising clients on a variety of tax issues, including impact of Tax Reform on passthroughs and other Real Estate clients, business restructuring, and tax controversy
