Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Cloud Spend Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our cloud spending, ensuring we are getting the most value from our cloud investments.
You will work closely with other teams, including finance, engineering, and product, to identify areas for cost savings and implement effective strategies for optimization.
This position is remote in the US, with a preference for Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Analyze cloud usage data to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing instances, utilizing reserved instances, and negotiating better pricing with cloud providers
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track cloud spending and progress towards goals
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate cloud cost management tasks
- Analyze and report on cloud spend trends across all cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Work with stakeholders across various departments to understand their cloud usage and optimize their costs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud governance policies
- Proactively identify and address potential cloud spending risks
- Forecast cloud spending and track progress against budget
- Contribute to the development and implementation of FinOps best practices within the organization
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud cost management or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Looker, Power BI, or similar
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong understanding of cloud billing and pricing models
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud cost management tools
- Microsoft Azure Fundamental Certification
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $112,200 and $181,610.
Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
