The Plant Production Technician role involves overseeing protein meal production, a crucial ingredient in dry pet foods. Responsibilities include sample collection, inspection of dry vans and bulk hopper trailers, as well as loading, unloading, and maintaining production equipment for smooth operations.
Proficiency in roles like Unloader, Loader, Mixer, Float, and Captain is essential for accurate and timely task execution.
Priority is given to adherence to safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies, with a focus on cleanliness and meeting GMP and safety standards.
Qualifications :
High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist frequently
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from waist to crown occasionally
Ability to shovel up to 50 pounds of animal protein and toss it approximately 3 feet
Ability to frequently climb ladders and walk up several flights of stairs
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. The work schedule may be over 8 hours per day
Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to kneel, crouch, or bend to complete the assignment
Ability to work overhead
Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures
Personable and attentive
Able to multi-task
Attention to detail
Punctual
Ability to withstand confined spaces
Ability to work safely at height
