About the Role : We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
This full-time position will support students at campuses in Chatsworth, CA, and Lancaster, CA. As a School SLP, you will play a crucial role in helping students with communication disorders achieve their educational goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input on student needs.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid California state license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
