Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Special Education Teacher
Location : Douglasville, GA
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and behavior.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized instructional techniques.
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in an inclusive classroom environment.
