Director of Operations for Wheelchair Repair Contract, Stavros CIL, Amherst, MAAbout the positionDescription
Status : Full Time 35 Hour per Week Benefits Eligible Position
Stavros is looking for a Director to manage our operations for the NEW Wheelchair Repair Contract who will report to the Director of Independent Living.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Project Management, preferably in a non-profit environment or Project Management Professional Certification.
Skill-set musts for this position include excellent communication and writing skills, as well as dedication to serving individuals with disabilities.
Primary responsibilities for this position include ensuring compliance with the terms of the Wheelchair Repair Contract, including securing and coordinating necessary resources, oversight of all contract-related activities, and acting as liaison between Stavros, EOHHS, and other provider(s) as needed, and monitoring policies and procedures for effectiveness and implementing changes when necessary.
Requirements
Primary responsibilities of the job :
- Ensure contract compliance by working with MassHealth and providers.
- Manage budgets, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source parts and stay updated on the latest wheelchair technologies.
- Work with the finance department on invoicing for services and inventory.
- Supervise and ensure technicians are trained, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Oversee customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Coordinate repair schedules, manage inventory, and ensure that all equipment and tools are available and in good condition.
- Knowledgeable about the services provided by Stavros and represent Stavros in a professional manner. Aware of the Independent Living philosophy and encourage / foster this in others.
Primary qualifications of the job :
- At least five years of experience in Project Management or have Project Management Professional Certification.
- Project management experience including inventory, distribution, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office.
- Well organized, self-motivated, and have reliable transportation.
- Willing to travel long distances (Within Massachusetts).
- Familiarity / experience working with individuals with disabilities will be helpful.
