Job Description
The client legal services attorney represents insured and the Company in the investigation and defense of no-fault claims and lawsuits.
The attorney prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, examinations under oath, and depositions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct depositions examinations under oath and prepares summary documents
Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses
Keep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.)
Review new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approves initial pleadings, propound discovery, and / or develop strategy
Investigate medical providers billing the Company and pursue litigation as appropriate
Draft motions
Try and / or arbitrate cases including by preparing motions, and motions in limine
Conduct settlement / dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)
Prepare and conduct court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.)
Ability to travel within the Syracuse, NY area (as needed)
Education
Juris Doctor (Required) and licensed with the NY State Bar and in good standing
Experience
2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - 152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
