Senior Vice President Operations - Power Transmission & Substation Construction
Gryphon Oakwood are seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to join a leading National Electrical Contractor in their East Coast office.
This role will focus on Transmission Line and Substation construction projects. The individual will also be responsible for growing the division including building and maintaining new client relations.
Responsibilities :
- Manages Vice Presidents, Area Directors and Regional Managers ensuring business and safety objectives are met
- Ensure field leadership have the resources they need to oversee field crews appropriately
- Client development and maintenance
- Implement change control and risk management processes
- All aspects of contract negotiation including bidding, estimating, change order identification, submittal and approval and administration
- Prepare thorough estimates and proposals for each project and master service agreement
- Accurate monthly financial reporting and effective financial controls to ensure profitability and expected cash flow on all projects and master service agreements
- Hire, interview, train and terminate employees
Qualifications :
- Minimum 15+ years' leadership experience in construction / project management related to transmission and substation work
- Lineman experience highly preferred (barehand experience a strong preference)
- Knowledge of various types of construction contracts
- Ability to interface with contractors, vendors, designers and any other parties involved with the various projects
