The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Float to units within competency as required.
- Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit.
Skill :
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS / Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.
- Must have a strong MS / Tele background.
Preferred Skills & Experience :
- Ventilator.
- Post-cardiac surgery experience.
- Post-surgical experience.

Schedule Notes :
7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM.3x12. Every other weekend required. Holidays required. 13 WEEKS. Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the ICU & S / D required, 3-5+ years highly preferred.
Must have ICU and S / D experience at the bedside within the past six months. Experience and competent in working with pulmonary patients, vents, trachs, hanging drips, incubation, etc.
COVID ICU unit. ACLS & BLS required. CCRN or PCCN highly preferred. RN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, Covid, heart issues, lung issues,etc).
Must be willing to float or downgrade as needed.
