A law firm in Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide vital support to attorneys, assisting with case preparation, document management, and legal research.

This role requires a proactive individual who can handle a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Paralegal :

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule meetings.
  • Manage deadlines and calendars for case-related activities.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the legal team.

Qualifications of the Paralegal :

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably with medical malpractice experience.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and case management.
  • Litigation experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
