Job Description

The primary objective of the position is to provide personalized in-home assistance with daily tasks such as professional companionship, housekeeping, and non-medical personal care services.

You offer emotional support, monitor the client's health and well-being, and may assist with mobility and transportation.

The role requires compassion, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure the comfort, safety, and independence of clients within their own homes.

We are currently hiring for all of our Bay Area office locations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a positive living climate for the overall quality of life for the client.
• Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested.
• Assist with Acceptable Activities of Daily Living (ADL) which may include, but are not limited to; companionship, medication reminders, meal preparation, eating assistance, laundry, bedding, walking assistance, transferring, continence care, bathing, pet assistance, and varied household incidentals.

Household tasking is time limited to 20% of a scheduled shift.

• Promptly report hours for scheduled shifts by clocking in and out of the designated time keeping program.
• Reporting any significant changes in the client’s needs or living condition to the office.

Qualifications

• Friendly communication style and overall amicable demeanor.
• Ability to adapt to various individual, but safe living environments and locations.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs., bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying.
• Ability to withstand period contact with pet hair, dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions (unless prior notification).
• Must follow California State licensing requirements under the Home Care Services Bureau. (Beacon Home Care can provide assistance in licensing requirements if needed.)
• Prior work history in healthcare or staffing is preferred, but not required.

Additional Information

Our hourly pay ranges are determined by role, level of care required, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
