We are working on behalf of a prestigious General Contracting firm based in Manhattan, specializing in high-end single-family residential projects.
Known for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and luxury, this firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their team.
This is an outstanding opportunity to be a part of some of the most sophisticated residential construction projects in Manhattan.
Position Overview :
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be an integral part of the project management team, supporting the successful completion of high-end residential projects.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of project management experience in the residential construction industry and a passion for delivering the highest quality results.
You will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, assisting in every phase of the project lifecycle from planning through to project close-out.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Project Manager in the coordination and execution of high-end residential construction projects
- Handle project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure all aspects of the project are on track
- Help manage schedules, budgets, and project timelines, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee quality control and ensure that project specifications are met
- Work with designers, architects, and engineers to solve project challenges and maintain client satisfaction
- Assist in the close-out process, managing punch lists and final inspections
Qualifications :
- 1-3 years of experience in project management within the residential construction sector, ideally with exposure to high-end projects
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
