About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technologist Job Specialty : Sterile Processing Technologist Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour nights, 1500-2330 including weekend rotation Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in a large OR setting required.
Prior travel experience with at least one 13-week assignment completed successfully. License : Active scrub tech certification Certifications : BLS certification required.
Must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Must-Have : Experience in Orthopedics, ENT, and / or Vascular is a plus.
- Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. Job Description : Perform duties of decontamination, assembly, high-level disinfection, and / or sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments.
- Document, monitor, and maintain accurate records ensuring high-level disinfection and sterilization in accordance with current professional and regulatory agencies.
- Prioritize tasks as directed to support patient care for the OR and customer departments.- Participate in on-call duties, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the permanent assigned location based on departmental needs.
- Orientation week not to exceed 40 total hours, includes EPIC training.- Scrubs required for duty.- Perform other functions as required.
Additional Information : All travelers are required to float to all areas where they are trained, including emergency departments and alternate holding areas.
Travelers must have been out of employment at the health system for 12 months from the last day worked to be eligible for this travel position.
