Senior Environmental Engineer / Environmental Scientist – Air Quality, Albuquerque, NM 25-28-ABQ09
INTERA Incorporated is looking for a Senior or Principal Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist to support our thriving Air Quality Services business in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated and self-motivated professional to lead the execution of job scopes related to air quality permitting, compliance, and air dispersion modeling. In this role, you will execute and / or manage projects of varying size and scope under the direction of INTERA's Director of Air Quality Services.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position are as follows :
- Prepare application packages for New Source Review (NSR) and Title V permits
- Prepare emission calculations for a variety of technical applications and site types
- Develop and prepare emission inventories for permitting, regulatory reporting, and ongoing compliance
- Assist in the development of recordkeeping tools
- Perform Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analyses
- Perform local, state, and federal regulatory applicability analyses
- Review work product prepared by junior staff
- Perform other duties as necessary per the direction of management
- Maintain / establish relationships with regulators
- Develop new business from current and new clients
Required Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance projectsBS in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a related fieldEnhanced understanding of relevant regulations to your tasks, projects, and overall responsibilitiesStrong technical competencies related to relevant scopes of workAbility to mentor and train junior staffProficient in time managementEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to receive and give direction and constructive feedback in a positive mannerProficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software tools (i.e., AERMOD, SCREEN3, PROMAX, etc.)Ability to work in a collaborative environment in a professional mannerAbility to shepherd and cultivate client relationships through desirable outcomes on projects and actively assist with business developmentPreferred Qualifications
