Medical Assistant (Midlothian)

Cross Timbers ENT is looking for Experienced Certified Medical Assistants who will have a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical settings. We have medical clinics and procedure room settings. If you are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and have a strong knowledge of medical procedures, we encourage you to apply. Our CMA's travel to Arlington, Mansfield and Midlothian with the providers.

Job Duties :

Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.

Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.

Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.

Assist Physician with surgical procedures, examinations and treatments

Takes patient vitals signs, medical history and collecting specimens

Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.

Set up instruments and equipment according to protocols

Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.

Utilize medical coding knowledge to accurately assign codes for billing purposes

Assist with patient education of procedures, medications and post treatment care

Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners

Answer and provide feedback to patient, physician, pharmacy, or pertinent vendors

Schedule, coordinate and monitor patient appointments

Understand and adhere to office policies and procedures

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment as necessary

Communicate effectively and works well with other team members

Send and receive patient medical records

Obtaining lab imaging reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.

Comfortable with BLS techniques

Qualifications :

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification Required

2 years of CMA experience

BLS through the American Heart Association Requred

ENT Experience is a Plus

Proficient in medical terminology

Medical Software experience

Knowledge of Microsoft products

Experience in patient care and medical support

Knowledge of medication administration protocols

Familiarity with electronic medical health record systems

Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients
