Certification Details
- AHA only. RQI is accepted.
- Must check Unit Description to determine certifications required.
- If the Unit Description is blank, please reach out to Program Management team to confirm certifications required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for certain specialties.
- BLS - Basic Life Support required.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required for certain specialties.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure required for certain specialties.
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course required for certain specialties.
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring required for certain specialties.
- License Verification required within 30 days of start.
- All candidates must have an active LA License or Compact License upon submission.
- If LA State License or Compact License expires within 30 days of start, renewal must be completed prior to start date.
- NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start.
Job Details
- This is a MED / SURG position that specializes in post-op GI and wound care. Please only submit candidates with this experience.
- Acute care experience required
- Med / Surg and post-op experience required
- Must have experience working full time on a post-op unit
- Must have a minimum of one travel contract completed to be submitted
- 2 years experience required
- Patient Diagnoses : Pancreatitis, GI bleeds, Bowel obstructions, Bowel perforation, Wound infections, Post Op infections, mass removal, Esophageal perf, GSW, MVC, Diverticulitis
- Special Procedures : Pancreatectomy, Esphagectomy, Whipple, Spleenectomy, Adrenalectomy, Cystectomy, Colectomy, Thyroidectomy, Mastectomy, Hepatic Resection, Nissen, Bariatric Surgery, TURP, TURP, Gastrectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Ex lap
- Equipment : PEG, PEJ, PCA, Per drain, JP drain, hemo vac, wound vac, nephrostomy tubes, Ileostomy, Colostomy, Urostomy
- Colostomy, surgical drains skills preferred.

Schedule Information
Manager will consider a blocked schedule if candidate is willing to work weekend block Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun Mon rotation.
