We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support a federal agency through the performance of accounting support activities. This individual will be working directly within a group to accomplish assigned tasks as a part of a large overall contract including a variety of different workstreams.
As team member of the Advisory practice, you will be required to execute the following tasks for our Federal Government client(s) with appropriate supervision :
- Perform routine accounting tasks associated with reconciling, posting, summarizing, and reporting financial transactions.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger to subsidiary ledgers and / or between multiple data sources.
- Prepare and process accounting entries in the financial system.
- Analyze transactions and assist in the validation of accrued amounts / assumptions.
- Document procedures for tasks performed.
- Perform a variety of different analytical tasks.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field from an accredited university.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong commitment to quality and integrity.
- Security Clearance : Must be able to pass a basic government suitability check (US Citizenship required)
