Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with pre-Series A founders, clients, prospects and partners. Early stage constituencies include accelerators / incubators, law firms, universities, industry groups, early stage investors (angel groups, VCs etc), and 3rd party firms who may add value to portfolio clients by augmenting SVB products and services or by offering adjacent solutions.
- Assist Managing Director with new business development opportunities, events, and strategic initiatives. Represents SVB at events in market.
- Lead client onboarding journey, collaborating with Managing Director and Product Advisor to understand client's strategy and financial needs.
Post-onboarding, proactively engages client to review services and ensure client understanding and utilization.
- Analyze and manage data sources to identify top clients and prospects. Determine potential cross-sell opportunities, predict fundraising needs and extrapolate industry trends;
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of SVB's products and anticipate clients' needs for these products;
The VP should approach each client engagement, electronic or live, as an opportunity to advise clients and to improve their business standing through that advice.

Qualifications
High School or GED plus 6-8 years of Relationship Management experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 2-4 years of Relationship Management experience.

- An individual who is energized by developing new client relationships and creatingmunity and ecosystem. Highly skilled relationship-builder who can effectively interact with a variety of different personalities and backgrounds
- Possess a strong network in the tech startup ecosystem
- Self-starter who thrives on orchestrating a unique and seamless client experience;
- Someone who knows their way around a set of financial statements, as a means to understand and anticipate apany's capital needs;
- Ability to manage time and prioritize
- Highly resourceful with strong problem solving skills
- Strongmunication, negotiation, marketing and closing skills.
- Strong understanding of various technology verticals, business models, and theponents of the innovation economy / start-up landscape
- Strong understanding of the business trends impacting the Innovation Economy
