Location : This position will be working at the Boston and Norwood locations.

The Sport Medicine Radiographer will be responsible for :

  • Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
  • Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
  • Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
  • Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.
  • Follows Departmental QC / Data Integrity Workflow.
  • Practices High Reliability Training.
  • Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
  • Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
  • Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complies with ETU and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform radiology procedures in a busy pediatric Radiology department.
  • Assure quality results and communicate the relevance of the results to other health care professionals.

To qualify, you must have :

  • Current MA Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
  • Registered in all modalities practiced.
  • BLS certification.
