CDM Smith’s Federal Services Unit (FSU) Water and Facilities (WAF) Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to serve as a Senior Project Manager (SrPM), a key role in our federal WAF portfolio.
Through effective leadership and teamwork, the SrPM will serve to successfully deliver projects to our DoD clients in the area of facilities design;
maximizing value to the client while supporting long-term growth to the firm.
Primary responsibilities for this role include :
- Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing multiple DOD design projects concurrently.
- Leading multi-discipline project teams, including architecture, interior design, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, and structural engineering.
- Understanding agency requirements and aligning CDM Smith capabilities to support DoD’s planning and design requirements.
- Estimating resource needs and scheduling and assigning work to meet project milestone dates.
- Initiating and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their needs and match with CDM Smith capabilities to support revenue growth and support future sales initiatives through close coordination with the Water and Facilities sales team.
- Supporting the direct marketing and proposal / pricing development for DOD related opportunities by working effectively with Client Service Leaders, Technical Strategy Leaders, and project delivery teams to position, secure, and deliver quality projects.
- Mentoring and staff development including thorough high-quality performance appraisals.
- Active participation in relevant industry organizations, such as SAME.
- Lead monthly project management processes including ETC, EAC, and revenue recognition.
- Lead and support efforts to integrate improved resource management (e.g., implementation of resource-loaded scheduling capabilities and practices)
- Mentoring and staff development including thorough high-quality performance appraisals.
