Collins Aerospace is currently seeking a seeking a Command and Control Systems Engineer with experience in United States Marine Corps (USMC) systems and operations.

In this position, you will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert on challenging software development projects primarily focused on USMC programs.

You will be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.

This position is located in Fulton, MD and does require some travel to customer sites as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Subject Matter Expert in USMC operations and systems.
  • System requirements analysis, definition and management.
  • Technical Leadership of engineering development teams.
  • Systems integration, functional and performance requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience as a United States Marine in the C2 / Surveillance / Tactical Datalink domains or experience with USMC systems such as the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S).
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws / regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience as lead systems engineer on a software development program.
  • Experience with Tactical Data Links message protocols such as Link 16.
  • Experience with any of these systems : Command and Control (C2), Surveillance / Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat / Fire Control systems.
  • Adept at communicating (verbal and written) with all levels within and outside the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations / summaries which appropriately address the intended audience.
  • Active security clearance is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
