Job Title : Bakery Associate

Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

1. Bakery Production :

• Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools safely and efficiently.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure that products are baked to perfection.

2. Product Display and Merchandising :

• Arrange bakery products attractively in the display case, following merchandising guidelines and standards.
• Rotate products regularly to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Ensure that bakery signage, pricing, and product labels are accurate and up to date.

3. Customer Service :

• Greet customers warmly as they approach the bakery counter and assist them with their bakery needs.
• Provide information about bakery products, including ingredients, allergens, and nutritional content.
• Assist customers with special orders, including cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions.

4. Cleaning and Sanitation :

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery department, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
• Follow proper food safety procedures to ensure the safety and quality of bakery products.
• Dispose of waste and empty trash bins regularly, following proper disposal procedures.

5. Inventory Management :

• Monitor bakery inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the bakery manager.
• Assist in receiving and stocking bakery supplies and ingredients, ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient for production.

6. Team Collaboration :

• Work collaboratively with other bakery associates and team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers to address any issues or concerns related to bakery operations.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredients.

• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
