Shop Technicians Needed in Durham!

We are currently working with a company that need a Shop Technician to join their team in the Durham area. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support, repair, and maintenance services to their customers.

Your expertise and knowledge will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their shop and delivering excellent service to their clients.

Responsibilities :

• Technical Expertise : Utilize your extensive experience and skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a variety of equipment.
• Troubleshooting : Analyze equipment problems, identify causes, and develop effective solutions to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
• Repair and Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance tasks, conduct thorough inspections, and complete repairs on customer equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Documentation : Accurately record and maintain detailed service and repair reports, including parts used, labor hours, and job completion status.

Customer Service :

• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, providing recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the services provided.
• Efficiency and Productivity : Strive to meet or exceed established productivity and efficiency targets, maximizing billed hours and contributing to the profitability of the shop.
• Training and Mentoring : Share your knowledge and expertise with junior technicians, assisting in their professional development and ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and equipment advancements, actively seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements :

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience as a shop technician or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of mechanical and electrical systems

Technical Skills :

• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Problem-Solving Abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex equipment issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy in diagnostics, repairs, and documentation.
• Safety Consciousness : Deep commitment to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
