The College of Medicine, Office of Medical Education is recruiting a new program manager in Medical Education. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.

The Program Manager reports directly to the Associate Dean for Medical Education.

Essential Functions

  • Provide support to standing committee meetings as assigned (e.g. scheduling, coordination of materials; documenting minutes).
  • Manage scheduling and calendar for associate dean.
  • Manage budgeting including budget preparation requests, financial reports and letters of agreement for faculty.
  • Manage and update web content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Support evaluation of the MD degree program including :

  • Review the analysis of data to identify trends and patterns in curriculum performance across different phases.
  • Assist in preparing reports that highlight these patterns to inform decision-making and strategic planning in the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of new CQI initiatives based on identified needs and gaps.
  • Help facilitate communication between different parties involved in the MD program to ensure alignment and effective implementation of improvements.

Monitor and maintain timely updates to the Data Collection Instrument (DCI) provided by LCME (Liaison Committee for Medical Education) annually, including :

  • Identify new policies, procedures, or data gathering required to ensure compliance to all Standards and Elements.
  • Review appendices for accreditation purposes on a bi-annual basis and track policy expiration dates.
  • Identify data gathering efforts and DCI updates from key staff and leaders within the college, helping to compile accurate and complete updates to the DCI.
  • Monitor changes or updates to UCCOM policies, procedures or agreements to ensure continued adherence to the LCME Standards (e.

g. changes to or creation of a new standing committee, affiliation agreements).

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience within medical education, clinical setting, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience meeting critical deadlines.
  • Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
