Travel Nurse Job Details

Position : Travel Registered Nurse - Med / Surg Telemetry (Med / Surg Tele RN)
Location : Des Moines, Iowa 50314
Unit : 7 South Med Surg Tele
Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract
Start Date : October 6, 2025
End Date : January 4, 2026
Contract Duration : 13 weeks
Hours per Week : 36 (Full-Time)
Shift : 12 Hour Days (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM)
Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,720 - $1,840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association required)

Ability to complete all healthcare onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screen, and health screenings (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, COVID-19, and more)

Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective nursing care to adult patients in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry for patient safety

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)

Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Participate in unit meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
