We are seeking an exceptional Technical Product Manager to drive next generation of analytics products and services that will shape the team’s offerings in the next few years.

This role requires an individual with a proven track record as a hands-on, customer-obsessed Product Manager in the data and analytics domain.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep customer focus and a passion for extracting business-relevant insights and recommendations from vast data sets.

They will collaborate closely with business intelligence engineers, data engineers, product managers, software teams, hardware and reliability engineering teams, and stakeholders / partners to derive requirements and formulate a product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

The successful candidate will be a self-driven professional, adept at navigating ambiguity while maintaining a keen eye for detail.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will define and execute the product vision for our analytics portfolio, driving innovation and empowering support teams with predictive insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional data and analytics teams to leverage cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI and establish partnerships that enhance our analytics capabilities.

Exhibiting a high degree of data fluency, you will apply your understanding of data infrastructures to set the vision for new technical capabilities, assess feasibility with technical teams, and develop product roadmaps focused on extracting meaningful insights to drive business impact.

You will own the product roadmap, bridging the gap between end-users and data / BI teams. Defining features, comprehending customer needs, and collaborating with customers and tech teams to prioritize deliverables will be crucial for success in this role.

A day in the life

  • Collaborate with AR product, solutions, support and business teams to identify opportunities and business needs that can be addressed with analytics capabilities.
  • Conduct in-depth customer discovery, understand their needs, define use cases, and translate them into compelling products and features that will empower the users with insights for proactive support actions.
  • Drive adoption of new analytics capabilities among the engineering and field team users. Own product feature communication to stakeholders, partners, and end-users.
  • Establish and own roadmaps for several analytics product / tooling and ensure development is adequately prioritized by internal stakeholders.

Drive timely decisions, clear blockers, escalate appropriately, make trade-offs : time vs. scope.

  • Proficiency in data vetting processes to ensure the data accurately represents real-world customer scenarios. Ability to understand and assess available data streams and recommend the most relevant data sources to address specific customer use cases.
  • Draft and deliver significant contributions to key documents, including PRFAQs, 6-pagers and OP business cases

About the team

The Performance Analytics and Field Insights (P&I) team at Amazon Robotics (AR) develops comprehensive analytics products and services that provide deep insights into the performance of AR’s network and its causal factors.

Leveraging data-driven approaches, robotics expertise, and operational knowledge, this team develops methodologies to proactively identify network issues and provide recommendations to optimize system performance for all AR solutions and customers.

This team’s outcomes empower service and support teams with predictive insights, proactive network monitoring capabilities, and risk assessments to enable an Always Ready support approach.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning / driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
