The Compensation and Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and administration of the bank's compensation programs and analyzing HR-related data to provide insights and support decision-making.
This position ensures that our compensation structures are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals and objectives, while also leveraging data to enhance HR functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Compensation Analysis :
- Conduct market analysis to benchmark compensation against industry standards and competitors.
- Evaluate job positions, job descriptions, and classifications to ensure they are aligned with the bank's compensation structure.
- Analyze internal and external salary data to support pay decisions and policy development.
- Program Administration :
- Assist in the administration of the bank's annual salary review process, including merit increases, promotions, salary budget process, bonuses, and salary adjustments.
- Maintain and update the compensation database, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide spreadsheets and data for restricted stock grants.
- Reporting and Compliance :
- Prepare and distribute regular compensation reports and dashboards to HR leadership and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
- Conduct pay equity analyses.
- Produce reports needed for annual AAP to contractor.
- Provide back up support for Executive Benefits Manager for administration of equity awards and reporting to IRS and SEC, as requested.
- Consultation and Support :
- Provide guidance and support to managers and HR partners on compensation-related issues, policies, and procedures.
- Promote understanding of compensation philosophy and processes for HR staff and managers.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on budget planning and forecasting related to compensation costs.
- Communicate with equity plan participants as requested.
- Data Analysis :
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and share HR related data with stakeholders to provide insights and support decision making.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify trends, patterns and anomalies in HR data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support HR initiatives by conducting data analysis on employment engagement, turnover, recruitment, and other key areas as needed.
- Work with HR and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in compensation analysis, data analysis, or related HR roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
Customer centric responsiveness.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with UKG HRIS system preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Business Intelligence) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a plus.
