Project Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Project Engineer, you will provide support for the General Superintendent, the Project Management Team, and the onsite construction superintendents.
You will serve as the Project Management representative while on-site, as well as the on-site representative while in the office.
- Verify subcontract agreements and purchase orders provided to the Superintendent are correct before enacted
- Assist on-site Superintendents in managing materials for the project including unloading and delivery of materials and confirm accuracy of materials delivered
- Implement project schedules while in the field to ensure schedule dates are being met
- Assist the Project Management Team in creating the RFIs for project management review
- Perform weekly safety meetings and walk the job site with the superintendent
- Assist with daily log reporting
- Assist the superintendent in calling in for inspections
- Ensure that all warranty is being proactively monitored and completed within acceptable timeframes
- Ensure that all QA / QC practices are adhered to throughout the duration of the project
- Assist with the punch process and closeout of property operations
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in the construction management or 4-Year degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 1 year of experience in construction management or internship with a qualified General Contractor
- Operator certifications required or must be willing to earn operator certifications for all equipment required to control on site
- Proficient in MS Software applications to include MS Office, Excel and Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with a vast number of people with varying backgrounds
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and individually to solve problems and find appropriate solutions
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction plans and project schedules
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
