Location : Carson City, NV 89706

Job Type : 6 months contract to hire

Shift : 1

(6 AM TO 3 : 30 PM)

Pay Rate : $21.00 hourly

Education and work experience :

The specific EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE requirements of this position are :

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Passing grade on job related test

The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE required for this position are :

  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to use handheld measuring tools.
  • Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English

    The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are :

  • Program, set up and operate CNC machines under the direction of supervisors
  • Load and perform simple edits of program if required
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure specifications are met
  • Blending of surfaces and applying or removing excess material with hand tools or machinery
  • Set-up and use of various machines, fixtures, and tools.
  • Part modification to specifications.
  • Must follow production specifications in regard to assembly of new manufactured parts.
  • Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Control Manual (QCM).
  • Must be aware of ISO Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements.

    • The marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are :

  • Use of Computerized tracking systems

    • Describe and explain the lifting and carrying requirements (i.e., the distance material is carried, how high the material is lifted, etc.) :

  • Carry components (up to 10 lbs) for a distance up to 100 yards at waist level.
  • Employees are not permitted to lift or push objects that are over 35 pounds.
  • Assistance must be requested for lifting objects over 35 pounds.
