What You'll Do

This is an exciting new role within the Services & Logistics - Partner Management & Sourcing (PM&S) team. In this Individual Contributor role, you will lead efforts to evaluate risks, prepare forecasts and analyze various scenarios related to market changes and logistical sourcing challenges.

You will prepare analytical reports and industry outlooks for senior leadership, including evaluating internal financials, trade publications, market reports and high-tech sector industry intelligence.

Additional responsibilities include tracking and trending costs, market fluctuations and supplier performance. In order to accomplish this, you will have access to certain internal & external tools and technologies.

Your key activities will include :

  • Design, implement and further develope existing processes and tools.
  • Development and maintenance of PM&S critical metrics and tools in multiple applications (Coupa, Tableau, Excel).
  • Driving forward modernization of standard tools and setting up standard data sets for reporting.
  • Provision of ad-hoc analytics and data-driven support for management reporting
  • Integration of PM&S Excellence, Analytics and Business Support into Cisco's wider Supply Chain structures
  • Research and collect data in support of analysis and position development in areas related to Transport (key focus on Airfreight), Warehousing and Trade.
  • Perform research through several methods such as reading, networking with partners, industry contacts, Partners, and analysts.

You will evaluate and analyze your findings.

Who You'll Work With

Be the counterpart and soundboard for the PM&S Sourcing Managers on Global Transport and Warehousing. Align on sourcing analytics and key parameters with the Global Logistics Planning function.

Connect with Logistic Partners to assemble and validate information (Market and / or Cisco specific). Executive level engagement with Services & Logistics leadership.

Lead application development and maintenance (incl. Data management), and therefore actively engage with application support community.

Recommend risk / customer concern mitigation strategies to business & key partners.

Who You Are

Ability to transfer logistic partner dynamics to a business context, so as to support management decisions. Excellent communication skills, including outstanding active listening and reading comprehension skills.

Critical thinker and ability to analyze sophisticated information in short periods of time. Strong communication skills and a service orientated demeanor are needed to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers and transportation companies.

Experience in process management (modeling, implementation, controlling and optimization).

Minimum Requirements For This Role

  • 8+ years of global transportation sourcing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade and implement.
  • Experience in data analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Coupa).
  • Strong leadership skills along with Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience leading with cross-functional impact.
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment with excellent follow-through

Preferred Skill

BA degree - MBA or graduate degree.
