GBS is seeking a Management Analyst - Senior to support software development emphasize bridging business needs with technical execution, optimizing processes, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Job Functions
- Analyzes organizational needs to align software development efforts with strategic goals.
- Identifies inefficiencies in software development processes and recommend optimizations.
- Uses data to evaluate project performance, team productivity, and system effectiveness, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to define software requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Assists project managers by tracking milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring deliverables meet deadlines.
- Serves as a team Scrum Master and / or Release Train Engineer (RTE).
- Documents workflows, technical processes, and project methodologies to support development efforts.
- Assists in creating and implementing policies related to software development, such as agile practices or compliance standards.
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) & Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), or Rally to support team productivity and transparency.
- Works with software developers, quality assurance, product managers, and leadership to align on objectives.
- Mediates disagreements and ensure teams remain focused on shared goals.
- Ensures software development processes adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CMMI).
- Recommends and support agile methodologies, helping teams transition to or optimize frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
- Advocates for continuous improvement in development practices and team workflows.
- Helps teams adapt to process changes or new tools during software development cycles.
- Management Analyst - Scaled Agile Framework Scrum master certified.
Experience Requirements
Plan and conduct life-cycle management reviews and impact assessments.Provide administrative and management planning support for analyzing, developing, and updating policy and planning documents.Support senior program managers in tracking performance, including cost, schedule, deliverables, and contractual compliance.Maintain and document program data. Conduct research and studies. Report findings.Ensure all analysis and reporting adhere to relevant military standards, protocols, and security requirements.Skills and Abilities
Proven work experience as a Management Analyst or similar roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working with different departments throughout an organizationEducation / Certification Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree Preferred..Minimum of five (5) years of experience in management analysisMust be a US Citizen or Permanent ResidentMust be able to obtain a position of public trust with the US GovernmentA background check will be required.
