External Description

Merakey is looking for a Director who will oversee our Psych Rehab and Supportive Employment program in Sharon Hill. Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Oversee the implementation of recovery-based principles and processes in the efficient operation and delivery of mental health services.
• Operate program within prescribed budget regarding maintenance of business activity and expenditures.
• Assume accountability for successful business process outcomes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external behavioral health programs and departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
• Coordinate and assure compliance with state, county, payer and service program requirements, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee the recruiting, hiring, training, discipline and discharge of staff.
• Participate in community outreach activities to increase public knowledge of clinical services to maintain clinical activity and to identify demographic, cultural and behavioral needs of the local community.
• Participate in CQI efforts and review / evaluate program goals, activities, policies and procedures at least semi-annually.
• Uphold general standards of clinical and professional practice.
• Uphold Merakey mission, values and philosophy.
• Implement policies and procedures in compliance with all external and internal policies, laws, and regulations.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings, trainings and committees both inside and outside the agency.

Requirements

Successful candidate will have the following :

• A Master's degree in human services or related field.
• At least 2 years experience in mental health direct care.
• At least 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Must have thorough understanding of and act in support of recovery principles.
• Must complete psychiatric rehabilitation training and pass CPRP exam within 1 year of hire.
