Sale Creek Middle / High School is a 6-12 school located in Sale Creek, TN, just north of the Chattanooga area in a rural community. We are a small community school that is supported by local businesses, families, and both former and current students. We offer a variety of programs which includes a wide variety of sports, band, Art, JROTC, and many college-level classes in all content areas.

At SCMHS, we offer a Future Ready Institute that has multiple pathways, (Engineering Design, Construction & Marketing). Our students have the opportunity to graduate with both OSHA-10 and NCCER Certification. We provide many hands on opportunities, including the design, construction, and marketing of our Tiny House Projects.

Responsibilities

• Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Tennessee Academic Standards for Fine Arts Education and design compelling learning experiences for all students. Establish clear learning targets and lesson plans for every lesson. Build rigorous and aligned assessments, administer district assessments, and consistently implement instructional best practices. When possible, make genuine curriculum connections with other academic subjects in instruction. As provided under the TN Academic Standards for Fine Arts “Present” domain, each grade level or course will exhibit art work up to two times per year.

Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.

Salary Scale

Note : This position may be eligible for an increase in total compensation. The Differentiated Compensation Plan applies to designated schools and hard-to-staff positions. Please see for more details.
