  • Establish and maintain strong industry familiarity and relationships in order to gain an authoritative understanding of sales opportunities for the Company.
  • Establish and execute long-term and short-term strategic business direction to meet / exceed bookings, sales and margin objectives of the Company.
  • Provide leadership of the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Marketing groups while maintaining focus on the Company’s strategic goals.
  • Lead, motivate, coach and drive continuous improvement and development of a world-class team focused on sales excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate existing and new market opportunities to increase market share and minimize competitive impact.
  • Maintain an effective sales management process to provide current and accurate order forecasts and required actions needed to close orders.
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Obtain market and competitor intelligence, utilize this information to develop strategies and programs to effectively promote the Company’s competitive advantages in the market.
  • Negotiate and execute contractual agreements with key customers and channel partners.
  • Maintain, in coordination with the President and CFO, compensation incentive plans for all sales personnel including commission plans, sales contests and bonus plans, to ensure the plans remain competitive within the industry.
  • Establish performance goals for all employees and monitor performance to defined metrics on a continual basis. Utilize development programs as needed for staff personnel.
  • Identify new target customers and sales opportunities. Initiate action plans to approach and secure new business for the Company.
  • Develop close and effective relationships with Yaskawa Electric, corporate management personnel, peers and subordinate personnel to accomplish goals.
  • Analyze, verify and review all reports generated by marketing department.
  • Define marketing strategies and programs that drive growth, increase leads, and acquire new customers.
  • Establish targets for strategic partner program development, including identification of key prospective partners, to ensure significant contribution to company goals.
  • Expected travel is 25 50% for this position.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;

planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION And / or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of fifteen years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills And Abilities

Must have excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Must have excellent vision of customer needs and market trends.

Excellent oral communication skills required for customer presentations. Excellent organizational skills required to manage many projects simultaneously.

Excellent human relations skills required to coordinate broad organizational issues to meet the financial targets. Energetic leader with the ability to develop and motivate others.

Proven sales track record in manufacturing or technology-oriented industries. Outstanding consultative selling abilities with executive level customers and business partners.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a result driven, team-oriented environment.
