The Role

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist you will prepare records, verify, and post customer payments. This is a part-time position where you will work 20 to 30 hours per week. There will be some flexibility in establishing the regular work hours. You will cross-train with other accounting functions to provide back-up or additional support as needed.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, record, verify, and post customer payments on a timely basis
• Audit and complete journal entries, ensuring accurate reporting and coding to appropriate departments
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the other accounting staff
• Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
• Adhere to accounts receivable policies and procedures, and ensure external and internal controls and policies are adhered to
• Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as needed
• Assist with other accounting projects and reports
