OTADuties Include :
- OTA will work as part of the therapy team and under theguidance of an OT
- OTA will selecttherapy activities to fit Residents' needs andcapabilities.
- OTA will assistResidents in carrying out daily activities.
- OTA will monitor Residents' performance intherapy activities providing encouragement.
- OTA will teach Residents how to use special equipment toassist with daily function.
- OTAwill work in collaboration with the OT to establish arehabilitation plan.
- OTA willsupervise Residents' activities to ensure they are doneproperly.
- OTA will report theResident's progress to the OT.
- OTA will handle administrative and clerical tasks fortherapy team.
OTA Requirements Include :
- A graduate of an accredited OTAProgram
- Current OTALicense
- Experience in longtermcaresettings preferred
