Human Resources Partner
Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a skilled Human Resources Partner for our Southwest region. This role is based in our Phoenix, AZ office and provides support to multiple offices in our Southwest region, in collaboration with other HR partners.
Additionally, this role will partner with the HR team on firmwide projects. At Kimley-Horn, because relationship building is the cornerstone of each person’s success, our positions are in-office.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our HR team, you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional skills in building strong relationships with internal clients and HR partners both locally and across the firm .
You will play a key role in employee development, employee relations, performance management, teambuilding, and career development .
With tact and professionalism, you will manage employee relations matters to ensure that our employees feel supported and valued.
You will be a trusted resource for our employees, providing guidance and support when needed. Our people will look to you as the point-of-contact for questions and education about company processes, programs, and benefits.
You will work closely with our talented professionals to retain top talent, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and support our employees in their professional growth.
You will play a vital role in managing the full employee life cycle. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to implement and facilitate innovative training and development programs that will enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees, helping them grow both personally and professionally.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- A minimum of 6 - 10 years of related experience, including employee relations
- The Phoenix office is home base, though the ability to travel within the Southwest region (including Mesa, Tucson, Prescott, Las Vegas, and Reno) to support the business needs is required occasionally (less than 10%).
This may include overnight travel.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment law
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS systems
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, presentation, and relationship building
- Excellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, to meet goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent internal and external client service
- Preferred : PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SC
