Global Product Manager Solid Round Tools (F / M / D, flexible location)

This position reports to Manager PM Solid Round Tools and will be part of a diverse and global team. The role is global and therefore the location is flexible but America’s is preferred.

Your role

Seco has a global organization of highly skilled technicians and engineers adding value to our customers business processes.

In the role of Global Product Manager you will Identify, develop and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products .

Responsibilities will include the following :

• Competitor monitoring and analysis of the competitive landscape and market trends for all products in the portfolio.
• Providing strategic oversight of all products in the portfolio, both standard and custom products and Ensuring the product specifications, options and pricing are aligned and competitive (with relation to performance) throughout the products .
• You will develop and communicate findings based on customer value proposition for product portfolio, including product-focused digital solutions.
• Present plans and activities to relevant MPS forums, analyze and fulfill portfolio targets and KPI’s, correcting deviations when necessary.
• Create, develop, and maintain the product portfolio and the lifecycle perspective. Initiate, define requirements, product features and order new product development and maintenance of existing products.
• Understand and communicate market size and customer / segment challenges with possible Customer Value Proposition (CVP), including GAP analysis for the products.
• Provide forecast for new products before introduction to the marketplace (collected from Sales).
• Collaborate with the global product specialist and the marketing department on the creation of sales promotion and educational material, in particular support / participate in content creation.

Initiate corrective actions related to quality (triggered by claim or other).

Your profile :

We’re looking for someone with university degree and 7-10 years of relevant practical experience of using products and solving applications problems in machining / metal cutting industry, strong background in Solid end mills is preferred.

Ability to collaborate with diverse partners on a global level, networking skills, and ability to embrace cultural differences would help you to be successful in this role.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written is required, knowledge of additional languages is a plus. The role requires some travel depending on business needs.
