Vice President, HR Operations and Governance
Location : PA or New York City (Hybrid - 4 days per week in office) (travel required)
Salary : $250,000-275,000 base + Bonus
About the Role
The Vice President, HR Operations and Governance will be responsible for leading HR operational functions while ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.
This role will focus on optimizing HR systems, improving processes, and overseeing daily HR operations. Additionally, the role will establish governance frameworks, ensure adherence to legal and internal compliance requirements, and lead a high-performing team that aligns HR strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HRIS, and employee services to ensure effective and efficient HR operations.
- Continuously improve and scale HR processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain HR governance frameworks to ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Conduct internal audits to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring regulatory compliance across HR functions.
- Lead the implementation and management of HR technology platforms, including HRIS and payroll systems.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and process improvements within HR operations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR operations with broader business and strategic goals.
- Advanced presentation / analytic storytelling / visual skills
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in HR operations, governance, or compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong expertise in HR compliance, risk management, and process improvement.
- Proven experience managing HR systems (Workday preferred) and HR technology platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Technology Skills
- Proficiency in HR systems (Workday).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with data analytics tools to support strategic decision-making.
