Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield, CA for a 13-week contract with the possibility to extend.

Responsibilities of a Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist :
- One 1 year experience in Speech-Language Pathology in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply
- Provide short-term rehabilitation, geared toward a functional return home
- Deliver restorative therapy to improve the quality of life of the long-term residents in the facility
- Interact with families and nursing staff on patients* after-care programs
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Successful completion of competency and proficiency skills evaluation specific to the requirements of the position upon hire
- Provide recommendations to the Director of Rehab and other team members
- 13-week assignment
- Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner
