Due to our practice's continued growth, Columbus Oncology and Hematology Associates is currently searching for an experienced Oncology Advanced Practice Provider . Responsibilities :
- This position will be responsible for providing oncology and hematology care services in support of our expanding patient population.
- This position will function independently, and in collaboration with a physician to assess and manage the needs of our patients.
Services provided by this position include follow-up visits, chemotherapy education, advanced triage, peer-to-peer review, bone marrow biopsies and / or hospital coverage.
Provide direct primary and acute care services to adult oncology / hematology patientsPerform initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical and psychosocial statusObtain comprehensive medical history and perform comprehensive physical examComplete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals and follow-upFormulate appropriate differential diagnoses based on history, physical exam and diagnostic testingIdentify needs of the individual, family and develop a plan of care and / or education planOrder and interpret diagnostic testMake appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agenciesAdhere to productivity standards established by the departmentAssess need for personal growth and development and take initiative in seeking opportunitiesPerform other related duties but only after appropriate training Required Qualifications include :Master's degree in Nursing or Physician’s Assistant DegreeAdvanced Oncology Certification OR with plans for certificationAt least 1 year in a Provider RoleAt least 2 years’ experience as an RN or NP in oncologyPositive attitude and a passion for oncology patientsClear verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to function as part of a teamSensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs Columbus Oncology Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and proudly a Drug-Free Workplace.
