Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Washington Heights NY
We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice part time (2 days per week) in Washington Heights NY.
The PA-C / NP will work under the supervision of the Physician or Surgeon but may also work independently, consulting with Physicians when necessary.
Experience in all areas of medicine a plus but may specialize in an area such as pain management. Our ideal provider demonstrates a strong attention to detail, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a great bedside manner, and is competent in their clinical skills.
Duties :
- Evaluate, manage, and coordinate patient care
- Provide continuity of patient care
- Patient consultation- See new and follow up with major medical patients, Physical exam, and take social / medical histories
- Order and review tests / diagnostics
- Document encounter
- Create treatment plans
- Prescribe medication
- Health promotion and maintenance
- Assist practice physician when needed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care
Requirements :
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- PA-C / NP licensed to practice in NY
- Clinical skills in Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation knowledge a plus
- BLS certification
- Recent grads welcome
Compensation :
$65-$75 / hr (DOE)
Schedule :
Part time (2 days per week, 8 hr days)
